What are Healing Rhythms?
Healing Rhythms is movement medicine, a powerful medium comprised of movement of the body and the heart. A form of dance.
A dance
A dance that uses tone, melody and rhythm to evoke your creative spirit. A dance that takes you through your feelings to a place of silence so that healing can take place. You learn to access an inner quiet that creates a sanctury, a safe passage back to health, vitality and radiance.
It has no pre-choreographed form
But unfolds within each moment. The form of movement is unique to each person and ever changing as the person changes.
The dancer is invited
To fully inhabit the body and open the doors to a journey of deep self discovery. The journey starts where you are... as you feel in that moment, and continues to unfold before you, as you dance your personal story. Your dance.
Movement, art and ritual
The music; the rhythm; your breath; as well as ritual, and in some cases art, are used to accompany you through your personal dance to reveal to you, your personal life dance.
Throughout our lives several experiences have imprinted themselves on our bodies. In Healing Rhythms workshops, we call on all aspects of ourselves to dance with us for our healing.
" I have found that movement invites me back into the Dance of Life! " - Johanna Wright
